The AliVe team met one last time as part of the project for a productive discussion and some team-building activities from 20 to 22 May in Klagenfurt/Carinthia. In addition to administrative matters, the meeting covered the finalisation of the guidelines and the final work package, which involved analysing the data collected.
The Transnational Project Meeting began with a warm welcome and a clear overview of the days ahead. The session opened by presenting the program, ensuring that all participants had a shared understanding of the schedule, goals, and expected outcomes. One key moment of the morning was a collaborative brainstorming session centered on an important question: What still needs to be considered before the project comes to an end? This exchange allowed participants to reflect on remaining tasks, responsibilities, and priorities, setting a strong foundation for the final phase of the project.
Following a refreshing coffee break with snacks, the focus shifted to Work Package 4 and the topic of data analysis. The team engaged in discussions on both qualitative and quantitative approaches, reviewing progress and outlining the structure of the final report. Clear next steps and processes were defined, ensuring that all partners are aligned and prepared to complete this essential component efficiently.
The remaining two days were mainly devoted to preparing the results for further use and presentation in various contexts. A highlight was the creation of narrative maps for each country and the project timeline, as well as the presentation of the various perspectives addressed by the AliVe project. Project progress was examined in detail across the individual partner countries. First, we reflected on and discussed our experiences to date within each national group. The focus was on highlighting different perspectives and gaining a shared understanding of the project’s developments. The results of this reflection phase were creatively recorded by hand on paper – deliberately in different colors to highlight the diversity of the contributions. This visual and analogue approach not only brought structure to the content but also ensured a relaxed and motivating working atmosphere. The points gathered were then shared in a plenary session. During this, the team identified key aspects that were perceived in the individual countries as particularly important, striking, challenging or successful.
This open exchange provided valuable insights into the different approaches and experiences within the project. The activity not only stimulated reflection but also fostered team spirit and highlighted the potential of collaborative learning and a change of perspective. In addition to this shift in perspective, the review focused on aligning the project objectives with the results achieved by AliVe.
Alongside the busy working hours, cozy meals provided an opportunity to discuss traditions from the various countries, a walk by Lake Wörthersee, and on Thursday the participants celebrated the meeting with a pottery painting session at “das linchen”.
Next up for AliVe are the EDULEARN conference in Palma de Mallorca, Spain from 29 June to 1 July, and the project’s final event on 19 August at 11 a.m. (CEST). More details coming soon.
